Today our big buddies spent the day getting to know their preschool buddies. I saw many towers being built out of blocks and marble toys. We got to play a lot outside on the playground in the sunshine. The afternoon class had a great time playing in the shaving cream.

Tomorrow we will spend some more time just getting to know each other. Next week our regular schedule will start with circle time, craft and large motor activities. My goal is to post here at least twice a week letting you know what was done each day.

I look forward to hearing stories from you as your child shares their day with you.

Today was a great day. The preschool students were so brave as they took their first steps as students. I really enjoyed starting to get to know them. That is not to say there were not a few tears shed by preschoolers and parents but those that did shed tears did not for very long. Each school day will get better for them. The returning students were great role models as they helped the new students with classroom routines. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow and the coming days. This school year will go faster than you expect so take some time to savor each day. Ask your student what they have done at school. Next week we will dive into circle time so you will start hearing songs and hearing about other things they learn at school.

Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts. Remember I am here to make this experience the best it can be for your child.
